Sam's Anchor Inn
Sam's Anchor has a couple of branches around Okinawa, and this outlet is just 15 minutes by foot from my apartment.
サムズ・アンカーインは、沖縄本島でいくつかの支店がありますが、真志喜にあるお店が、迷子の羊のアパートのすぐ近くです。
Located just after the exit for the Okinawa Convention Centre, head onto Route 58 towards Ginowan and look out for the large signboard shaped like an anchor. Parking lots are aplenty and the restaurant's pretty easy to find, so the place is popular with tourists and families dining out.
沖縄コンベンションセンター近くの５８号沿いに、アンカー（錨）の看板が目印のお店です。
駐車場も広く、アクセスも便利なので、家族連れの地元の人や外国人カップル、観光客と、様々な客層で、店内はいつも賑わっています。
Established in 1970, Sam's Anchor is something of a grand old dame in Okinawa's F&B scene, and it is famous for its steaks and teppanyaki. Portions are generous and the food is fresh, so this place comes highly recommended.
創業が１９７０年と古く、沖縄ではかなり有名で、老舗のレストランです。
お店では、ステーキや鉄板焼きが看板の料理です。
新鮮で、ボリュームのある食事を提供するので、オススメです！
The walls of the entryway is entirely covered with namecards, and the ceiling also bears remnants of U.S. dollar bills thrown by American GIs in the 1970s.
店内に向かう階段の壁には、名刺がびっしり。
天井には、１９７０年代に、ドル札をアメリカ兵が投げて遊んだ跡などが残っていたりもします。
Designed to resemble the hull of a ship, Sam's Anchor can seat up to a hundred people and also has a full service bar counter.
船をイメージした店内は、１００席もあり、落ち着いた雰囲気です。
入り口からは広いバーカウンターが見えます。
If you're craving for some teppanyaki, order the prawn and beef tenderloin steak (2,680 yen, S$38).
鉄板焼きの「車エビとテンダーロインステーキ」です。
素材は、新鮮な車エビと、肉厚な牛肉と新鮮なお野菜。オススメメニューです！
Chefs will whip up your meal right before you with some fancy knife-throwing tossed in for good measure!
サムズのコック長は、目の前に見事なパフォーマンスで注文の料理を焼いてくれるので、とても楽しいです！
Sam's Anchor also serves up fancy cocktails, and these are perfect for an after-dinner treat.
お食事の後、人気のカクテルはいかがですか？
Try the Paradise Punch (pictured left), which is made from fresh fruit juice. There's more than enough for one person, so sharing with a partner's ideal.
Sunset Delight, a non-alcoholic cocktail (on right) is popular with the ladies (each 1,100 yen, S$16).
