Dining out in Japan has always been an interesting experience for me, simply because the shops seen here are so different from those we have back home.
迷子の羊にとって、日本での外食はとても面白い体験です。
料理はもちろん、お店の雰囲気もシンガポールの飲食店と全然違います。
In Singapore, having a coffee probably means going down to the nearest outlet of any giant coffee chain. While I have always enjoyed hanging out in large coffee joints, I realized that there's a different kind of experience to be had when patronizing cafes here in Okinawa.
シンガポールで、「コーヒーを飲む」というのは、コーヒーのチェーン店へ行くということになるでしょう。
大きなコーヒーの専門店が好きですが、こじんまりした居心地のいいカフェでゆっくり時間を過ごすのもなかなかいいですよね。

ここでは、沖縄にあるいくつかの気に入っているカフェを皆さんに紹介したいと思います！
Cafe Bar Santeria（サンテリア）
Tucked away in a quiet lane behind Kokusai Street, Cafe Bar Santeria is a cosy establishment that is opened by an affable lady who hails all the way from Hokkaido.
国際通りの喧騒から離れた那覇の路地裏に佇む隠れ家のカフェです。オーナーのCHIKAさんは、2年前北海道から沖縄に移住して、この店をスタートしたらしいです。
The cafe serves light meals and dessert, and a selection of alcohol and cocktails are also available.
軽食とデザートがメインとなりますが、メニューにお酒やカクテルもあります。
Try the pumpkin cheesecake, made with Hokkaido-grown pumpkin. (400 yen, S$5.60)
北海道直送のカボチャを使用されて、生クリームが良く合うオススメのカボチャのチーズケーキです。
Santeria's coffees and ice-blends are made with Smooch Coffee, which are coffee beans imported from California. There are some ten flavours of ice-blended coffee smoothies available, so do try them all!
SANTERIAのブレンドやアレンジコーヒーは、カリフォルニアからやってきたスムーチコーヒーという豆から作っています。
黒組み合わせによってなんと10種類もあるそうですので、全部味わってみてはいかがですか？
Munchy, Santeria's dessert cocktail. This banana milk based drink is topped with ice cream, chocolate sauce and cookies. Very decadent.
デザートカクテルの「マンチ」です。
バナナミルク系カクテルの上にアイスクリームとチョコソース、クッキーがトッピングされているので、とても贅沢ですね！

Cafe Blue （カフェブルー）
Cafe Blue is very popular with ladies from their 20s-50s, and the reason why this cafe is such a huge favourite is because of its original cakes and patissier-made french toast.
２０代～５０代の女性を中心に幅広いお客様がいらっしゃるCafe Blue。
パティシェの作るフレンチトースト、オリジナルケーキは絶品です！
This is Cafe Blue's best-selling cake, the Chocolate Banana Torte (450 yen, S$6.30 per slice). The chocolate used in this creation is made by hand, and fans of liqueur cakes will definitely enjoy this one.
こちら一番人気のチョコバナナトルテです。
ココアをチョコレート状にして作っているそうです。
洋酒の効いた大人のチョコレートケーキなので、ぜひお試してみてください。
Apart from a good selection of cakes, Cafe Blue also serves up lunch specials (790 yen, S$11) that change from day to day.
ケーキのほか、Cafe Blueの日替わりランチプレートもとてもおいしいですよ。
The cafe uses seasonal vegetables and other healthy ingredients such as chicken and tofu. Rice is mixed with rolled barley and black and white sesame seeds, so customers watching their diet would be very pleased.
旬の野菜を取り入れ、鶏肉やお豆腐などヘルシーな食材を使用しています。
特にライスは押し麦をベースに黒ゴマや白ゴマを混ぜているんだそうです。
とても健康によさそうですね！
Add 100 yen (S$1.40) to your lunch and you will get to sample the cake of day as well.
ランチにはプラス100円でプチデザートが付きます！
Coffee here is hand-dripped and made with coffee beans specially roasted for Cafe Blue. Cafe Chocolat (500 yen, S$8) comes topped with chocolate sauce and is one of the cafe's most popular drinks.
Cafe Blueのコーヒーは全てハンドドリップ形式でお客様へ提供しています。
コーヒー豆は県内で焙煎している業者さんに頼んでCafe Blue専用のローストをしてもらっているそうですよ。
こちらは「カフェショコラ」です。
チョコレートソースもかかっていて、大人気のドリンクです。
Cafe Blue recently revamped its lunch menu in June this year, so do drop by to sample the new selection of food and drinks!

Cafe Yabusachi （Cafeやぶさち）
This cafe, situated in the hills of Nanjo City in southern Okinawa, is made of of two eateries. The first storey serves up Okinawa noodles, while the second floor is occupied by a cafe. Cafe Yabusachi overlooks a nearby beach, and having a golf course just next door makes the cafe an interesting venue for a wedding ceremony.
南城市にあるCafeやぶさちが、１階が沖縄そば屋、２階ではカフェと雑貨の販売、隣接するグランドゴルフ場では結婚式を行うことも出来ます！
Soba Yabusachi on the first floor. Sophisticatedly decorated interiors add interesting contrast to the selection of traditional Okinawa noodles served here. Soba in Okinawa is different from the usual buckwheat version seen on the Japanese mainland, and here at Yabusachi, Okinawa soba has been given a new twist by adding sauteed sliced Japanese beef and finely chopped spring onions (700 yen, S$9.80).
一階は「SOBAやぶさち」です。
インテリアはすごくおしゃれで、落ち着いている空間となっています。
沖縄のそばは、日本本土との違いますが、こちらの沖縄そばは、いつものとちょっと変わって、されにニュースタイルに変身しましたよ。
県産黒毛和牛の肉を使用している牛スジそばは、こちらのオリジナルです。
Okinawa zenzai, the island’s answer to our ice kachang. Soba Yabusachi's version has red beans mixed with expresso-flavoured mochi (rice cakes). The dessert is then topped with a mound of ice and brown sugar.
沖縄のぜんざいとは、シンガポールのカキ氷、「アイス・カチャン」とよく似ていますよね。
SOBAやぶさちのぜんざいは、氷には黒蜜がかかっています。
そして白玉はエスプレッソ味なんです！
Do try the French toast at Cafe Yabusachi on the second floor (800 yen, S$11.30).

Cafe by the Hill Rakusui （山の茶屋 楽水）
An establishment affiliated with the Cafe by the Beach that was introduced in the
first entry of my blog, Rakusui is perched right on the top of a hill in Nanjo City and is a fine example of clever architecture.
一番最初のエントリに紹介した「浜辺の茶屋」の姉妹店、山の茶屋 楽水は、設計的に非常に面白いです。
The cafe not only blends in seamlessly with its surroundings, but natural rock and trees have been incorporated into the interior, making the cafe resemble a huge tree house. The cafe occupies a an airy deck bathed in sunlight, and the waterfall (carved from an exisiting rock) is surely the cafe's most outstanding feature.
自然の岩や大木をそのまま活かした設計となり、森に溶け込むように建ちます。
本当に木に囲まれた家にいるという感じですね。
店内は広々の空間となり、日当たりがよくて、とても気持ちです。
お店に入るとまず目に入るのがこちらの滝です。
Chefs at Rakusui pride themselves on quality; organic vegetables are harvested from the cafe's very own plot of land and are a main feature of the cafe's menu.
自家製の有機野菜にこだわった美味しいお料理を提供している山の茶屋です。
お店のすぐ裏にある畑で作った野菜を大きくメニューに生かしています。
Rakusui's very healthy bento (1350 yen, S$19), made with unpolished rice, tofu and vegetables. There's no meat or seafood, so it's perfect for customers counting their calories.
酵素玄米弁当には、長岡式酵素玄米（日が経つほど栄養価が高くなる）、豆腐と野菜を使用しています。
お肉、お魚を使わない野菜中心のヘルシーな定食です。
The bento comes with a choice of either coffee, tea, herb tea or fresh fruit juice.
お飲み物はコーヒー、紅茶、ハーブティー、フレッシュジュースより選びできます。
Rakusui's rustic surroundings is perfect for a quiet afternoon stroll.
近くの木々の陰に散歩してもなかなかいいですね。
